This map is a typical example of a vineyard design project. After understanding client needs and goals a property is critically evaluated for suitability. Depending on applicability this evaluation would include climate analysis, irrigation water and soils sampling for both physical and chemical attributes. After thorough investigation site specific factors (such as slope, aspect, proximity to riparian zones, and cold air drainage among others) are taken into consideration using GIS and mapping tools. The result is a report that describes in detail the project's findings and includes a series of maps to quickly and easily convey those findings to the client, the bank, regulatory agencies or whomever necessary.
